RU58841 Topical premixed solutions
Some companies sell Ru58841 in a topical pre-mixed solution which is stable for 6-12 months depending on how the solution is stored. Most users are using the pre-mixed topical solutions, however topical RU solutions are more expensive than when you mix your own RU58841 solution. The mixing process is very easy and it literally comes down to dissolving the pure RU58841 powder into an ethanol containing solution. Almost all hair loss topicals contain a high amount of ethanol. These are topicals such as Minoxidil or Neogenic. Knowing this fact, makes it easy to pick a topical that you already use, and treat this topical as a “vehicle/ carrier” to dissolve the raw RU55841 powder.
Mixing RU58841 into 60 ML Minoxidil
If you are a Minoxidil user then you might just want to create your own 60 ML (2oz) all in one solution. The steps are very simple and straightforward, even if you are just starting out with your research or bio/chemist class.
Easy steps to mix your own RU58841 minoxidil solution:
Step 1: Get pure 99%+ RU58841
Step 2: Measure exactly 3 gram RU58841 and pour it into your 5% minoxidil solution
Step 3: It is now time to shake the solution so that all RU58841 powder dissolves well. This process can take up to 5 minutes or sometimes even longer.
The result is: 5% minixidil solution with 5% Ru58841 inside.

Mixing RU58841 into 50ML 5% PG/Ethanol solution
Easy steps by step guide to mix your own 5% RU solution
Step 1: Get ultra pure 99%+ RU58841
Step 2: Measure 2.5 Gram RU58841 and pour it into the plastic/pet bottle. You can use aluminum foil if you don’t have a funnel.
Step 3: Measure exactly 35 ML ethanol and pour it into the bottle. (you can use a syringe, pipette or measuring cup)
Step 4: Measure exactly 15 ML Propylene Glycol (pg) and pour it into the bottle.
Step 5: It is now time to shake the solution so that all RU58841 powder dissolves well. This process can take up to 5 minutes or sometimes even longer.

If you live in the United States then just grab a bottle of “EVERCLEAR GRAIN ALCOHOL 190 PROOF 750ML” which can be purchased in most liquor stores.
If you live in Europe then you have to look for the brand “brennerei–kessler“. They also sell ultra pure 96% ethanol via Ebay and Amazon .
Ethanol is used to dissolve the RU58841 so that the RU powder/particles transforms from powder into a solution.
Propylene glycol (PG)
PG can be purchased anywhere and is also a compound that is commonly used in cosmetics.
PG is added to the ethanol solution so that the ethanol doesn’t dry out too easily and remains for a while on the research subject.
Get yourself a “0.01 scale”. Easy to find via Amazon and Ebay. Most 0.01 scales are cheap, very easy to use and don’t need much of a calibration.
FAQ About Mixing RU58841 Solutions and answers for common mistakes
Why is there difference in the size (mesh) of the RU58841 crystals?
- RU58841 is a molecule, very small with a molar mass 369.3 g/mol, not viable with the human eye.
- At the end of the production process, once the Ru58841 is purified and 99% pure, it is converted to Crystals. This is the so called crystallization process.
- What happens in the crystallization process is the following:
- The RU58841 (small molecules) are stacked together and the result is that it looks like crystals or crystal powder.
- These crystals differ from size in each crystalization cycle. Sometimes they are bigger, sometimes they are smaller. This is just the appearance (how-many molecules are stacked together in 1 crystal)
Kirkland is one of the brands that contain low amount of ethanol (Just 30%). This makes it hard to dissolve RU58841. In practice this just means that you need to shake the solution a littler longer. Just put some effort here, researcher!
The answer is straightforward and simple! For each percent strength, you need to dissolve 10mg RU powder per milliliter vehicle. (this can be Kirkland or pg/ethanol or another vehicle).
For a 1% solution; You need to dissolve 10MG per milliliter vehicle. In a 50 ML vehicle that would be 10mg*50 Ml = 500 MG total powder. In a 60 ML minox vehicle it would be 10 MG *60 ML = 600 MG total powder.
For a 3% solution; You need to dissolve 30MG per milliliter vehicle. In a 50 ML vehicle that would be 30mg*50 Ml = 1500MG (1.5 gram) total powder. In a 60 ML minox vehicle it would be 30 MG *60 ML = 1800 MG (1.8 gram) total powder.
For a 8% solution; You need to dissolve 80MG per milliliter vehicle. In a 50 ML vehicle that would be 80mg*50 Ml = 4000MG (4 gram) total powder. In a 60 ML minox vehicle it would be 80 MG *60 ML = 4800MG (4.8 gram) total powder.
